~Urban Renewal~
~No.1~
As my secondary title suggests, I will be returning to this location.
This was actually my alternate destination for todays shoot.
My first choice was downtown, a old dilapidated screened door,
I found the door when shooting my last posted image.
But I stopped here first and became engrossed in these buildings.
An entire complex is being renovated, consisting of 7 structures.
I shot 235 photographs, then later culled them down to 50.
As usual I had a very hard time deciding on my final image.
Not that this one was the best, all 50 were ok, just all different.
So I'll be back to shoot different aspects of these buildings.
But the one thing they all have in common are the black patches.
I love the soft black lines juxtaposed with the straight hard edges.
I broke some "rules" here by dividing the image in half.
But I think, I hope, it works because the image isn't symmetrical.
Time will tell, one can only break the "rules" after learning them.
And Lord knows I have a lot of rule learning left to do.
Hopefully, I wasn't too premature in my rule bending?
And another addition to "A Day In The Life Of TucsonJim"-
Yesterday I attended my first gallery reception.
I had two images juried into the show "The Photographers Eye",
21 featured Tucson photographers, what an honor this is.
It will run through mid-March, and I've already had some orders.
Well that's it for today, thanks for coming by!
