I love how most people, if asked can tell you where they've seen the letters YKK but I daresay not many people can tell you what it stands for. I know I couldn't, I had to look it up. It's the Japanese zip fastener company named Yoshida Kogyo K.K.

Never seen an advert, no natty advertising campaigns, just trademarked letters on small metal zippers.

I think they may be missing a trick in their marketing department.
