Family snap

If this is the reception after a day at work when they saw him this morning I hope he's prepared to be literally bowled over on Friday when he's been away for two nights! Carl is off for a not very glamorous 24hour trip to New Jersey tomorrow.

By sheer bad luck I am off for two days in Oxford at exactly the same time. Very fortunately my mom is able to step into the breach which means the kids are too excited about seeing Grandma to pay much heed to us not being here.

I am feeling woefully unprepared for my two day workshop but as I am one of those people who is incapable of feeling fully prepared that is situation normal. I never seem to be able to adjust to it though. Oh well, I'm keeping my mind fully focused on the feelings of euphoria, delight and relief that will be my friends on my homeward journey.

Off to distract myself with a good book before an earlyish night.
