Let's Hop The Atlantic

Salt stains

Haven't blipped in a week and it's strange how hard it is to remember what I did just seven days ago.
I slept. I woke up late. I went to French and afterwards, walked out into the secret quad behind it which was covered in snow and looks onto the back of the main University College building. It's archways and big wooden doors and old buildings and it was snowing and I just felt so lucky to be alone and appreciating it. It's true that some moments just wouldn't be the same if shared.
Anyway, I decided not to upload my photos of that for this Wednesday, because I actually went out to the same quad after class on Monday (24th) and took better ones. (Insight into forthcoming blip!)
After enjoying a contemplative wander around some of the most beautiful old buildings on campus, I called Ami and went to join her at Robart's. First time back in the dreaded library since my return. Good old 13th floor.
We then went up St George to this little cafe on Bloor that Paige and I went to and that I originally went to with Mum last September. It was closed down. Really sad actually, because I struggle to find good, homemade food downtown which isn't Subway or some other disgusting chain.
We went to Plenary - a speech for all the people in my programme. It was pretty uninteresting (talking about shell shock) and plus I was really sleepy.
I returned promptly to my room and slept for two hours. Felt wonderful.
This photo looks like so late at night but was actually at about 7pm after I woke up.

Also: credit to Daniel, for coming to Urban Outfitters on the Thursday before I left and finding the bag with me and credit to Ami, for giving me her one-time-worn boots for no reason at all. Amazing people.
