Bullfinch Family

Those that follow these ramblings will remember that on our last day in Perth on our last trip we went on a Great Grey Shrike hunt and failed, today being the first day in Perth of this trip we again went on a Great Grey Shrike hunt and again we failed, hey ho, but coming across this bullfinch family eating heather heads made up for the disappointment.

RCB was along too and he's continuing to take his inspiration from Lawrie in "really wanting to see some of the rarer gulls", so this time he's blipped a gull he found on a factory roof - a Glaucous Gull. He also faced an inquisition from one of the factory workers as to why he was taking photos of the factory but after spelling Glaucous, was deemed Mostly Harmless.
