All She Needs Is Love

The last picture was of our cat Hera. Here is our other cat Mew. She would have a cooler name, but for the first three years of her life, she resided with my family, who had named her after a Pokemon. Actually, they named her after a cat they used to have, who was named after a Pokemon. After three years of existence, we figured it'd be just confuse her to start calling her something else, so Mew is Mew and not Midnight or Darkness or something ominous like Something Ominous.

Mew, unlike Hera, will meow for attention but will want attention. Truly. She also likes to tap you on the shoulder when you're looking away from her. Because she wants attention. "Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. What's over there that's so important?" And she seems to particularly want all eyes on her when the conversation turns to the social sciences. If my husband comes home talking about how work was, she doesn't want to hear it at all.

She also has a bad habit of walking in front of you, stopping abruptly while you're looking forward and not down, and then yelling at you when you bump into her, as if to say, "I'M WALKIN' HERE!"
