My Name

I've been thinking a lot lately about names
How they give you an immediate impression
How you immediately associate a name with a personality

Had my father not been so obsessed with Laurel and Hardy, my name probably would not have been what it is
And what it is is dreadful
My middle name, thank goodness, was of my own choosing
A variation on the name Kate so that my name wasn't too similiar to that of one of the Olsen twins
The name of a Native American saint who is not exactly widely known

If I had to choose a new name I think that I would choose Lilie
Or Kaleigh
Or Abbey
Something a little less common
A little less boring
