Heron at the River Almond

It's a very poor picture taken from the other side of the river bank. A combination of my shaky hands, shot with a 50mm lens with annoying bits of branches in the way makes it a 3 out of ten - maybe. I would love to get a lens with more of a zoom, but that will be another day!

I walked along here at lunch time with Breagha. I spotted the heron eating a fish and took some pictures of it (they were out of focus). We walked along a bit, turned back and spotted it taking off. It's beautiful seeing them in flight, they are so graceful.

Not any plans for the weekend apart from watching Andy Murray in the final of the Australian Open which starts at 8.30am on Sunday morning. Here's hoping for a win!
