A Surprise in The Post

I got a pleasant surprise in the post on Saturday. This is the Platinum Royal Ambassador Card; perhaps the most generous hotel loyalty card in the world. It is invitation only and I had been informed in writing I hadn't qualified for this year. I'm guessing stays at Intercontinental group hotels towards the end of last year pipped me over the edge.

So what does it get me? Well, if I stay at any Intercontinental hotel, it typically means I can book the lowest category of room and usually get an upgrade to a suite with club access. The mini bar is also complimentary as is the first pay per view movie of the stay.
