Castle silhouette

4.30 p.m. on a cold, January Sunday afternoon. I'd just been to see the Vaughan Bequest Turners the National Gallery with my mother and was off to get the bus home. I love this view of the Castle and it always looks better silhouetted against the setting sun. Having just taken up water colours (and having just been to see some exceptional ones) I thought the sky looked a bit Turneresque and I wonder if I could ever replicate it, who knows.
