Wandering around the flooded bits

It has been a nice sunny day today. Flick and I went down to the local shopping park to find some matt A4 photo paper - we were also looking for 6"x4" matt photo paper, but have been totally unsuccessful. We can find glossy, very glossy, super-glossy and very super-glossy and even premium very super-glossy. But no matt. Perhaps no-one makes it.

At lunchtime we went to a pub for a pint of Broadside or Stella and something to eat. We left feeling a bit squiffy so walked around the flooded lake and canal area near the pub. There were so many things to shoot, but today, the thistles won.

They might be bullrushes. It's about time we got a book on birds and plants, as blipping takes us to meet and closely inspect so much nature. It would be nice to know something about what we're photographing.
