Starlings

Busy with work most of the day, trying to work out how to save rare lichens from (in my view) misguided road-straightening schemes. The day started out grey and misty, but the sun was out by lunchtime and I took a quick walk to the nearby horse-field trying again for some good shots. They are almost too comfortable with me now, and come too close too quickly for me to get the shots i wanted. Ah well.

Late afternoon i walked the Prom to watch (once again) the regular spectacle of starlings swarming before roosting under the pier. Took loads of shots, but none really satisfactory.
