Avast!

There were several incidents that provided possible blips today. Early on there was a noisy truck backing into the car park outside our building; it then picked up and carried away a small car that was parked there. Presumably the latter's road tax licence had expired. If it only did so at the end of January this would seem a bit over zealous, but the car may have been sitting there un-taxed for ages underneath all that snow....

Then a parcel arrived, all the way from the US of A! But more of that in DaveH's blip as I left it for him to open when he got home; I knew he would be very excited. (Tookie, you are a complete sweetheart!)

But as I headed across the bridge to go to the deli, I was pleased to see some sort of nautical activity on the Water of Leith. True, the man in the little boat had no means of propulsion but was being hauled along on the end of a rope by his colleague on the Shore. He'd been poking about underneath the Bernard Street bridge but I only just managed to get a couple of long shots before he climbed out. (Just by the plaque that commemorates where Mary Queen of Scots disembarked, some years ago).
