A TUSCAN RIVER SCENE

Today I wanted to do a clean and simple shot, uncluttered. You know how it is. I had the face of Giovanni, who looks like a movie star from the 1940s in mind, but he was not to be found. A beautiful animal would have done nicely. We ended up in town, starving and in search of a working pizza oven because that would be a good picture, too, and we could have eaten one. Unlike other countries in the world, in Italy you can't get a pizza any time you want one. Most ovens aren't fired up and ready to go until 7:30 or 8:00 at night.

We ended up at the little coffee bar by the river where we had extremely indifferent sandwiches and espressos. It was warm enough to sit outside. We walked over to the river where the bridge was almost perfectly reflected. It's not what I had in mind at all. Maybe I should have used this one. Gull island.

For the record: Partly cloudy. + 12 C. Discovered a book on birds I ordered long ago is marked as delivered on 24th January by a courier the other side town. Just my luck it ended up with the courier with the most idle drivers of all. Now it will have to be extracted from them. It's a book, for heaven's sakes. It would fit into the post box. How can simple things get so complicated?
