Xixi Wetlands

Today I ventured out again. Lovely day for a long walk in the Xixi Wetlands. A couple of busses and a one and a half hour journey and I arrived.. It's pretty dead at this time of year but there were enough birds and interesting buildings for me to take about 300 pictures so I was happy.

Once I was heading for the wetlands, tonight's Blip was always going to be a bird and this was my favourite for the day. 400 mm lens, sitting on a walkway for over half an hour waiting for the bird to come to a nearby tree. And it was fun.. till some turkey with a 1Ds and a long lens came along and scared it away.
