Seron to Lago Dickson - Day 3
Today the path just went on and on and on. The guidebook said it would be 4-5 hrs of walking, the map we brought said 6, but in the end it took us 8 hours. The map made it look like it was just round the corner at about 2.30pm, but then 2 hrs later we were still walking and there was no sign and it just felt like we were never ever going to get there. I did some more ranting and some more crying (despite the beautiful scenery). When we eventually got to the top of yet another steep slope I was gutted to see the campsite still very much in the distance with a very steep slippery climb down a cliff face to get to it, which hurt my knees so much I cannot begin to tell you! It was such a beautiful spot but I was feeling so sorry for myself that I just got in the tent in my sleeping bag and my big down jacket and went to sleep. When I woke up it was to a bowl of steaming pasta and a cup of tea. I love my husband!
