North to Alaska

When C and I were heading into Fairhaven this afternoon I was puzzled by the nose-to-tail stream of cars coming towards us -- until I realized it was Friday, the day the Alaska ferry arrives (and departs). So I dropped C off for her appointment, and Miss Annie and I went down to the Cruise Terminal to see the MV Malaspina. One of her sister ships was in Bellingham for an overhaul last January. It looks to me as if the Malaspina is due for some maintenance, if only painting.


After watching this video, C and I decided to add the Alaska ferry to to our list of future trips.
