White-faced Heron......

......on a mission!!

There was no messing about with this Heron, eyes alert and on the prowl!! How often do we see this, let alone capture it - not often.

Quite pleasant at the river today, a few ducks, some NZ Scaup, Pied Shags and this Heron going it alone. Repairs are starting on the swing bridge after the earthquake, its good to see.

I felt very humble to be on the spotlight page for yesterdays visit to the estuary, thank you for your kind words, stars and hearts, they are appreciated :)

Quiet Saturday here and turning out to be quite hot - nice to have those domestics out of the way, will go and wander round the garden with a cuppa in hand - I'll be back later :)
