Loch Lubnaig
After walking Rona, we grabbed the cameras and jumped in the car just to get away on our own for a bit. Mag's uncle is quite ill and she wanted to clear her head so we drove up through Callander taking the Crianlarich road to Loch Lubnaig. There is a small, rough car park at the south end of the loch and we pulled in there.
I have never seen the loch so calm; there is usually a breeze up the glen which ruffles the surface. Between the calm waters and the gently shifting clouds/mist, it was almost perfect for photography. As an added bonus, the dreaded midgie was absent - too early in the year for Scotland's most hated critter.
After a while, feeling better, we returned home to a lunch of crusty bread and home-made soup. Excellent.
