Rear Window

The view from my bedroom window here in London's gorgeous Shad Thames always leaves me slightly concerned for my neighbours. Not because I sit at the window in a wheelchair with a pair of binoculars à la Hitchcock's 'Rear Window' watching them get murdered. Just because the architecture always leaves me a little freaked out.

Some of these balconies are propped up. Some of them are not. Now it seems to me that if some of them need that extra bit of support, surely all of them do? Is it just an accident waiting to happen - someone pops out for a bit of fresh air with their morning coffee and suddenly they're in the lap of a neighbour three floors down?

Anyway I can't sit around here watching the neighbours all day. Grace Kelly is on her way over with takeaway and a bottle of wine...
