Oops
I managed to do a very silly thing the other day, and knock my 18-200mm lens on to the floor whilst trying to tidy my desk.
Thankfully there wasn't a crunch followed by the sound of tinkling glass, just a very solid thud and a four letter expletive from me as I envisioned £400 exploding in to millions of pieces. Fortunately the glass is all intact, but the impact has damaged the zoom and focus, so it won't really extend much past 35mm.
Whilst I save up enough money to get it fixed (and god only knows what that might cost - any ideas?) I'm going to be forced to be more creative - I now essentially have a busted 18mm lens, my lovely 50mm 1.8 and a 70-300mm that I hardly ever use. And of course the iPhone and various clever apps.
I'm going to look at it as a positive - a challenge, rather than the kick in the photographic balls I first thought it was.
But still - let's take a moment and feel my pain anyway :*(
