Heads they win.......tails we lose
We were out for a short while today looking at cars. Most of the car showrooms are clustered around the same area of town. Which is also close to this factory. I'm not sure what they make - might be insulation material. But whatever it is it sure does generate a lot of smoke from its menacing grey chimney stacks and from behind its barbed wire fence.
I do find it a wee bit ironic that we have big industrial factories in the area, and only a few miles away is the place where healthy highland spring water is bottled and sent all over the world to hotels, restaurants and office meeting rooms. Its Sunday and I shouldn't really be taxing folks about how we reconcile this. Best I can lazily say for now is heads they win and tails we lose.
The air was a bit clearer on a hill walk later in the afternoon. The weather was typically grey and overcast so no nice bright photos to sweep away the smoke stack shot from earlier in the day. Perhaps next week will bring some brighter photo opportunities.
ps - the cars stayed firmly on the forecourts. The climate isn't right for us to dip into that market right now but it was nice to look. Amazingly, not a single sales person approached us to 'see if they could be of assistance'. That's a first for me. Hope you enjoyed the weekend blippers.
