Water Surge

After the storm and the huge volume of rain that fell over the last few days, this surge of water could be heard a clear half mile away before Behr and I reached the point in our walk where the water was spilling out from a small loch.

Once we'd got past this, I missed the best photo opportunity of the day. Further on in the walk where the water was silky black and deep, with no wind and the crags behind the loch also very dark as night was falling a brilliantly white swan flew past and landed on the water. Unfortunately I didn't have the right camera to capture this so the image will just have to remain in my memory. It was a fantastic sight though.
