Day by Day with Otago Lad

Sunshine

What a change from Yesterday it was today.
Yesterday it was raining and cold, today we have a lovely day, not to hot or cold. I went out the front door of work at a break and saw this lady sitting on the bench opposite hiding under an umbrella, I didnt think it was that hot but obviously this person did.

It got me thinking......

As a kid I remember February being consistantly good weather day after day but it doesnt seem to be the same now. Is this my memory playing tricks on me or is the weather actually changing.
Does our memory gloss over the less memorable things in life in general and do we only choose to remember the great times, I remember my childhood being wonderful and it feels we had so many more opportunities than the kids of today, is this true or is my memory playing tricks again.
Gee I'm starting to sound like my Dad, this reminds me of the lyrics to the Robbie Williams hit, Strong.......

My breath smells of a thousand fags
And when I'm drunk I dance like me Dad
I've started to dress a bit like him

Early morning when I wake up
I look like Kiss but without the make up
And that's a good line to take it to
The bridge

And you know and you know
Cos my life's a mess
And I'm trying to grow so before
I'm old I'll confess
You think that I'm strong you're wrong
You're wrong
