Sir Miles Warren
Over the road from work they have a selection of famous Cantabrians cast in bronze. They have all made a valuable contribution to the Canterbury society over the last number of years. What an honour it must be to be recognised like this.
Here we see Sir Miles Warren, prominant architect and designer of many many prominant buildings in New Zealand.
Next to him is Angus Tait of Tait Electronics.
Then William Sutton, Artist.
Next is Bob Stewart, founder of PDL.
All leaders in there field and worthy of a place here.
Sir Miles Warren interested me as I was thinking about just what sort of building he would be promoting if he was the one with the responsibility of rebuilding Christchurch after the September 4 earthquake.
This all got me thinking.......
In thirty years time who would be commemerated then. Who among the current community will be the ones to step up and have such a prominant role in the region that they would be selected to replace those that are represented now. It wont be me thats for sure..........
