A sign of the times

This is a view down York Drive in Portree. The sign of the times lies in the proliferation of satellite dishes. Almost every maisonette has one. There may well be more at the rear of the properties or up on the rooves. Most of them are, like mine, to receive Freesat or Freeview TV via satellite.

The hill beyond is further away than appears. It is Ben Tianavaig but the zoom of my lens has shortened the perspective. I live about a quarter of a mile away beyond the end of this street.

Today has been still most of the day and rain free which is a bonus. It was freezing last night so it is still quite cold but without that rain it is quite pleasant.
