Lights On

But nobody home...
Laptop is going through a bit of a mare, it keeps restarting itself and sometimes it just sits with nothing but the power light on and does nothing.
Sometimes it comes stright on. I've tried putting the XP disc in to boot from in case it is something wrong with the hard drive but the same thing happens.
I hope I don't have to end up buying a new one.
I have a desktop for music and graphics but it's not really geared up for general internet and email.
Ho hum....
