Hamilton Mausoleum
It was fairly late in the afternoon when I pulled into Hamilton Services. Still Blipless.
Then I remembered that from the Services its only a short walk along to Hamilton Mausoleum.
The largest private mausoleum in Britain, with the longest echo. The Chapel and Crypt were built for the 10th Duke of Hamilton in the mid 19th Century.
It is now the solitary remaining testament to the colossal scale and grandeur of the buildings which once stood in Hamilton Low Parks. Instead of these impressive historical buildings we now have, amongst other things, a Golf Range and an Asda (Wal-Mart).
