soaring together...

in watching the geese, it always amazes me how much they stick together... they tend to fly in groups... they honk together, too... you can pretty much tell when they're going to take off in flight. one will begin to honk - taking up the banter among themselves... and soon there is this overwhelming sound of chatter. it makes me wonder what they are communicating to each other... "let's visit that pond over there" - "did you see the cute goose hanging out near that tree" - "you won't believe the dream i had last night" - "we need to get away from that lady with the camera now"... and then the massive fluttering of wings starts and they're off...

if i'm fortunate enough, i capture them... most times blurry - out of focus, but i'll never lose my fascination over them - so graceful and artistic...
