Rain Stopped Play

No outdoor games today. Fortunately Robin's rugby game this week was a floodlit game on Friday evening, which was mild and dry for us spectators.

This is the view through the back door window as the rain comes down. I thought those sad soggy rugby balls looked rather like the eggs of some long extinct giant bird, a moa or roc perhaps.

Not sure why there's quite so many of them but they get worn out and new ones arrive as prizes, or presents and accumulate over the years. Haven't found any good use for worn out rugby balls as yet but I bet if we got rid of them some really important and hitherto unrecognised use would arise for them.

Any suggestions welcomed.
