Lazy Day
A Lazy Day. Still hanging on to the end of my cold and just back from the beach so yes I declared it......today was going to be a lazy day with no expectations. And the kids needed it. They were so tired.
So they did some art, of course. Our daughter is always working on art but today she and our son did a project together. We still had some art projects left over from my son's birthday so we spread out the painting cloth and they definitely created. They painted their entire project plus most of their arms and all of their hands.
Then they played with the sticky hearts that my parents put in their Valentine's gift box. Those little hearts started on the windows but now they are everywhere. And very sticky. And my daughter adores them. She likes to just carry them around in her hand.
And we got a package full of oranges and grapefruit from my in-laws as well as a Valentine's card for the kids. They loved that. And we loved the fresh fruit.
So there you have it. A lazy day. And we needed it and it felt good. Unfortunately it was my husband's most hectic and intense day at work thus far. And I knew all day long what he was involved in so I was just counting down the time until he would call and I could stop worrying so much about him. But that is for another journal........
