Twinklies again!
15 months 25 days
Katie woke at 3.30 this morning, had some milk and went back to bed. She didnt go back to sleep. At 4.00am, she'd had enough of not being asleep so came in my bed. Thankfully, we then snoozed on and of till nearly 7. She was playing so beautifully with Monkey this morning - she put a bib on him, a nappy, wrapped him in the quilt, got him up, presented me with a tshirt to put on him, which he has been wearing all day. She's quite the little mother hen and its lovely to watch.
We went to tea and toast this morning. I asked her before we went if she wanted to go find emma (her little friend) and she said yes and ran for her coat. She walked there, except it took quite a while - she stopped several times to make Monkey do Dingle Dangle Scarecrow. She tried to go into the bank to see the lady there, but it was closed. Thankfully, she was at the counter so Katie waved through the window. We did eventually make it though. Sometimes she's a bit nervous about going off and playing at first, but today she got to the door and charged to her friends without even taking her coat off.
After tea and toast, we had a private booking for the sensory room at the Childrens Centre for her and Jack. They had a blast, they got every instrument out, every puppet, scarf and light toy. At one point, Katie got a bit annoyed that I wouldnt let her run off into the other section of the room. I did conceed, and she went off into a corner, filled her nappy and came up to me, not interested in the other part of the room. She's done this a few times now, she did it on sunday in the cafe with my parents, I thought she was just being fidgety, but she just wanted to go off, find somewhere to perform in private, does it and then returns to tell me so.
Both babies were rather tired after tea and toast, so we parted company. Katie had some lunch and went to bed for nearly 1 1/2 hours. She was really snuggly when she got up, and cuddled on me for a while, before charging round like a nutter again. We got invited last minute for afternoon tea at Emma's house - they had some yummy brownies to taste test (two different recipes) so of course, I had to assist. We didnt stay long, came home for tea and a play before a very splashy bath and bed.
