50/50

Headed back up to The Cairngorms today, Greg was trying the route again but this time the weather took its toll. The good old forecast was for 20 mile an hour winds but by lunch time it was easily blowing 50-60 with gusts that must have been pushing 75-80!!!
Needless to say the camera did not make an appearance. So in order to get a blip I took a shot of this amazing tree. The title came about because it is half dead whilst the other half is flourishing.
The mood was not deliberate, this simply was as a result of having the camera in my rucksack. It obviously got damp during the course of the day and then when in the car it condensed, then getting out to take the shot I didn't have time to wait for it to equalize because of the diminishing light.
