That Old Chestnut!
There was a time, not too long ago when I was beginning to have a little faith in the weather forecast. But that really is disappearing fast. It was suppose to brighten up this afternoon, Ha, not a chance, dreich dreich.
So to continue the tree theme this is a shot of the superb Spanish Chestnut which is ib the garden at the front of the house. I had intended to get a blip of it later in the year when it was in leaf. However with not being able to get to much else I decided to take it today.
You can probably imagine the fun that the young children having playing in and around this superb specimen.
Edit; I knew there was something else that I was going to mention which has just been brought to my attention by my wife.
The tree was date tested and found at the time, about three years ago, to be 795 years old. A pretty valid point to mention I think you'll agree.
