Belated Liverpool New Years' fireworks

Just 5 days later than planned, Liverpool had its new years' fireworks tonight. I've taken pictures of the 2004 and 2005 New Years fireworks from close-up, so I decided this year to use the 10th floor of Liverpool John Moores University's Byrom Street building (where I used to work) to facilitate this years' shots). This gave a more panoramic view of proceedings. The building on the right hand side is St. John's Beacon, now home to Radio City, one of Liverpool's commercial radio stations.

Not a bad show, but I think the council were saving money and fireworks for the city's 800th anniversary celebrations in July 2007.
