GADGET!!!!

I've fallen off the wagon over the last few days with some works hassles that have affected my drive a bit however I have a new gadget courtesy of alfthomas.

It's a GPS datalogger and can be used to record then map journeys on foot, by bike or by car. I have a keen hillwalking friend who'd be really interested in it (if he hasn't already got one) and I have a work colleague whose journeys to work each day would be really something if you set them out on google maps.

My photo illustrates the device and, in the inset google earth image, the speech bubble is where I was parked to take the pic.

You switch it on for the duration of your journey, plug it in to your computer, download the data then click the Google Earth link to illustrate your journey.

There's also clever software to make it useful for photographic purposes but I haven't been able to get it working yet.

It's the weekend now so I can really play proper :)
