Jacky's Journey

By Fudgefase

Tired but happy.

Today was the first time since I broke my ankle that I've taken the dogs on a proper walk in the park on my own. This is Bill, lying by the fire when we returned, tired but happy. I'd have preferred a warm, sunny day but I got rain and cold. Never mind. It was nice to be able to do a walk again.

I thought of blipping the pigeons in the garden this morning. There were seven large, plump doos out there going at the bird station. There was fatlad sitting in the tray making sure no one else could access the mealworms and suet chips, and another one perched on the branch of a tree pecking into the holes of the hanging bird seed feeder! Who says pigeons have small brains? Way too big for the perches on the feeder of course, but he figured out a way of accessing the food in the end! Unfortunately I have net curtains and it was impossible to get a pick without moving them - and scaring the birds away. So you got Bill instead.
