South Hams Coastal Path

A twisted trunk,
contorting gorse,
beside the path
that leads, of course,
to sea, and sands,
and looks beyond,
at hazy headlands.
I am fond
of this short walk,
the coastal views;
the changing sky,
the only news,
save here a calf,
and there a lamb:
my favourite walk,
and here I am.
I've paused a while,
to share the view,
ever the same
and always new.
Open the gate,
the path leads on;
the gorse still blooms
though we are gone.

Really torn for choice as to which photo to post. We have been about the only part of the country that had sunshine today, so please enjoy this share ...
