a mellow saturday - hooray for man marking when it comes to parenting - or even better when one parent looks after both kids (is there a footballing term for that - two-man marking? one man two marks?)

i took my shopping trolley out for a walk - it has a bit of tartan on it - but not quite enough to be a fully-fledged tartan shopper. waved at arthur and the lady in the dry cleaners, chatted to the mellis's cheese monger and smiled at the latin american bloke in the veg shop..

...felt very local

also managed to buy myself clothes in the sales and a selection of vast meringues. now waiting for supper guests and boo to come and eat them.

never been in here - love the kitchiness of it but suspect i wouldn't like the food
