Frozen Charles

I went on a walk along the esplanade from the Harvard Bridge to the Longfellow Bridge to see the frozen Charles River. I was hoping to see the ice cracking up, but it was pretty solid. After an unpromising start, the day turned fine and there was a lovely sunset behind me on my walk (and yes, I turned round a few times to shoot it).

This is Boston from the Harvard Bridge - Beacon Hill to the left, Back Bay to the right.
