Sunday: Telephone Exchange

I have long been fascinated by this building, mainly because, despite its 1950s 'charm', and ragged appearance, it still appears to be fully functioning.  I don't possibly see how it can be at the cutting edge of modern communications technology.

I think I would have liked to have worked here in the 50s - saying 'connecting you now' in a plummy voice, while listening in to all the conversations, before discussing Saturday night's dance with my colleagues Molly, Florence and Little Sadie.
