Preening

A walk alongside a landscaped pond today found quite a few swans swimming. This one came out of the water, parked itself about 2 metres from where we stood and had a good old spring clean preening session.

I'm not sure these birds have very tolerant nature so we were careful to move slowly away in case we spooked it.
