Bad Grammar

I spent a large part of today learning more German but gave up when I got to some serious grammar. That whole nominative/accusative/dative/genitive thing just makes me roll my eyes. I have no context in which to put it and my learning package has a really neat idea of help - I click the "How do I complete this exercise?" and my software offers the following - "Put the correct answers in the right places". Of course, on reflection, that's blindingly obvious.

That's where I've been going wrong all this time, deliberately putting the wrong answers in. If only I'd put the right answers in, it would have been so much easier.

Stopped to help make dinner, an auflauf (it means a casseroley type of dish but we tend to use it to mean most meals that are cooked in the oven) thing which is smelling very good indeed.

Today's Blip shows some of the little network of ladders and walkways that adorn most roofs here. You wouldn't get me tottering around up there for anything.

My word of today is Fußgänger. Which is "Pedestrian". That sums me up perfectly.
