People Toys

Cat sitting for the weekend. Our landlord lives above us and has two very fat, soft and cuddley cats. They are pampered and have a heap of toys, but I fear they are bored with living inside and the toys are now for people.

Food, wine, friends and a good book was the perfect way to spend my sunday evening! Our first book club meeting was a success (I hope!). I have some very intelligent, articulate and funny friends! Now we have six weeks to read The Confederacy of Dunces, Sara's favourite book, she's read it 15 times, so I have high expectations!!!:-/

I had a great chat to my mum today too. I was a little sad I wasn't home to celebrate her birthday but it sounds like she had a wonderful day out on the Indian Ocean. I think when I do get home there'll have to be one big birthday party for all the people who's birthdays I have missed....and I think over a year that will include everyone ;-)
