BLUE SKY
I went out this morning to photograph the widow Twankey's bergenia because it is in full flower and because she has made such good use of it. An awkward slope along the road is covered with it. It's awkward to photograph, too. I found Teo, the neighbourhood's little vagabondo, always with one ear bent back and always ready to go for a walk with anybody who comes along. Teo is a little yellow dog. He belongs to somebody but we don't know who. I thought he was today's blip and headed home.
Then I saw this pyramid cloud rising from behind the hills and took a pic of it because it was sort of the same shape as the pine trees in front of it. I didn't realize our house was in the picture. It is almost invisible and is the little yellowish square in the trees and under the right side of the cloud. There is a dark area at the top of the hill. It looks as if it is a church but is actually another group of pine trees. The trees without leaves are almost all chestnut. They will begin to have leaves in early April.
I also did the ornate church in the valley while I was out. Church.
Late addition, mainly for the record. This is the first time we've been able to see the towers of Lucca for about four months due to rain and fog. A miracle! Lucca Towers.
For the record: Sunny with scattered clouds. + 12 C, +1 at night. Sunrise: 7:09; sunset 5:55. Humidity 58%. Downstairs fairly clean, upstairs still a tip. More algae being cleaned from more tiles.
