New drains or road calming?
Last year we the residents of Seel rd/Hey Park were told that road calming measures would be take soon. A new super school to replace the existing one was completed just seen on the left of the picture, as Huyotn is sounded by road humps this was to be expected and to be honest needed on this road.
Last week being half term work started...at 6.30am lights banging as the signs were delivered; my friend awoke thinking she was having some sort of seizure.
8.45 someone moved everything seems they had been put in the wrong place!
Work started in the middle of the road right outside the school; all the buses that pass had been stopped so apart from the occasional car that thought the road closed sign didn't apply to them all has been fairly quiet.
It now seems that the council have been putting in new drains at the same time
fair enough but the 'big' new road calming hump is only about 2" in height if that! there are another two humps each side to still be built.
In the mean time the residents if no car have to walk a hell of a long way to the buses or trains.
I feel for the elderly people as they make there way along the pavement; and this could go on for three weeks!
