Gypsum Boulder

This 20ton Boulder stone thought to have been an Ice age glacial deposit from Cumberland was unearthed in Crosby outskirts of Liverpool in1898.

(Question how on earth did it get from Cumberland to Crosby?)

As a child/teenager I passed this on my way to church many times before I left Crosby in 1969; never giving much thought to it.

I return to Crosby on a regular basis over the past few years and thought to include this on my daily Blip.
Today 21st its wet wet and wet here in Huyton; hope your day is better than mine.
Cheers penny
