Russian rock
The Jarvis likes a bit of live music with his beer, especially if it's brimming with originality and humour. Jarvises also enjoy seeing bands in small bars who go on to become famous (I never thought those Radiohead guys would amount to much). These guys were fantastic, and while I didn't understand a word of what they were singing because it was in Russian (very fitting in Riga's retro communist bar Leningrad), it was evident from the gales of laughter coming from the crowd that they were right on the money. Unfortunately there's no music by them on youtube or myspace, but remember the name Rodion Kuzmins - the singer is too talented to remain obscure for long.
