Placebo effect

The Jarvis appreciates a little extra heat on a snowy winter's night, even if it is just a DVD of a roaring fireplace. Quite a few bars in Oslo show such DVDs, and they actually seem to make the room feel a little warmer. One theory is that they also placate pyromaniacs.

By the way, for music nerds and guitar spotters - the one top left is signed by Hank von Helvete, the former lead vocalist of Norwegian death-punk band Turbonegro. The band took four years off after his heroin addiction became acute, but reunited in 2002 after he went through rehab. They retired the band in 2010, apparently because Hank had put his demons behind him and wanted to concentrate on being a clean, sober family man.
