More Chewing

16months 2 days.

2.30 am. 4.00am. 5.30 am. I saw all of them. And some times in between that didnt register in my exhausted consciousness. Flaming teeth. It's entirely crap for babies to get this much grief. It's one of my 'when I meet God, what would I say' questions... "so what were you thinking with teething?"

She slept until 7.15 as a result of the nocturnal wakenings, but after some pre-breakfast calpol she perked up. Ate a good breakfast before we headed out for tea and toast. It was rather wet, she jumped in every possible puddle and managed to get rather soggy, but was very cheerful about it. "oh you should try her in the swimming baths" one elderly gentleman commented!

Tea and toast was crazy - I've never seen it so busy. It was a mix of half term and the fact that a big charity bikeride was stopping there, along with the local BBC radio crew. It was one of the mum's 30th coming up too, so there was cake, presents and balloons. Katie ate chocolate buttons and loved it. She did also trough a full slice of toast too before going off to play once the crowds had died down a bit.

We had a lovely afternoon, although she woke up chomping really hard after her nap. We saw Cousin 2 and her mum. Katie did some more serious puddle jumping before we went for a coffee. Somehow Katie blagged more chocolate, little monkey! She also ate most of my share of scone. We had a quick play at home, then Granny and Grandad came round, so she was even more excited. She spent ages playing with her happyland farm, she's really started enjoying playing with that and the happyland cottage too now.

New words today have included bowl, horse, socks and boot.

Thank you so much to all who commented yesterday - we were rather overwhelmed!
